God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. (Psalm 46: 1- 3)
Many of us may remember Chicken Little.
Chicken Little ran through the streets shouting, "The sky is falling!" Henny Penny, Turkey Lurkey, and others believed it and spread the word. Turns out, it wasn't the sky but only an acorn.
Chicken Little is defined as: one who warns of or predicts calamity especially without justification.
As we pay attention to what is going on in society, there are a lot of Chicken Littles who has many followers. There are people in places with authority drumming up their own stories and people are believing the hype causing plenty of chaos and panic. .
Despite what you see, despite what is going on around you, despite what is going on with you, God sees all and He cares. So don't fear, don't worry, He is our Help.
As believers, let us encourage one another. Let's remember that Jesus is now and will forever be our refuge, our strength, and over present help.
Take comfort is knowing that the sky is not falling and God has you in the palm of His hand where NO man can pluck you out. (John 10: 28-29)
